I Hope You Loved These Gothic Art Prints
Each piece in my Night Shade collection has been painting using the same moody colour palette. I wanted to paint poisonous and darker flowers for this collection to experiment with a 'whimsy goth' aesthetic, with deep purples, pinks and greens.
These paintings feature heavy knotwork inspired by Celtic design and symmetry. I painted two pocket prints for this watercolour collection, one is an exclusive mini print for my Fairy Club! I also painted an A5 piece featuring a night time scene of a forest with a lil' river flowing through. I had so much fun painting this intimate botanical collection.
With only 5 art prints to peruse in this collection, I hope you find one that steals your heart
I’m challenging myself to paint and release 12 collections in 2026, so I’ve limited myself to around 6 pieces per collection! One of the Pocket Prints was a Fairy Club exclusive, so you won’t find it here either.
Oh absolutely!! I love painting poisonous flowers, and I missed so many as I had to choose ones that fit the moonlit colour palette. Next time, I’m excited to paint foxgloves and maybe some poisonous mushrooms in the same palette.
As it was a smaller collection, I had fewer chances to “world-build.” To reduce the risk of having pieces that didn’t match, I chose to paint them all from the same colours so they feel like sisters in a botanical family.
I love my A6 Night Portal piece. It was the first time I truly tried to build depth without using any line art within the scene. This is a style choice I may carry forward, I love how soft the world inside the portal looks, and how regal the floral border feels.
