Watercolour Mermaid Art Prints

Welcome to my Siren themed watercolour collection! I had SO much fun painting this one. I experimented with sailor knots instead of my usual Celtic knots, which felt perfect for a mermaid and ocean inspired collection. I also created kelp stickers and long journal dust pieces that feel like little underwater trinkets.

I actually went down a full research spiral trying to find flowers linked to sirens… and there just aren’t any sadly, so I took some artistic liberty. Instead, I painted poisonous but beautiful flowers to reflect siren folklore, soft, delicate, yet dangerous.

This collection awoke something in me. It feels both gentle and fierce, with a sense of sisterhood running through it. I kept my detailed linework in the borders, but let the centre of each piece act like a portal into an underwater world. It’s probably the closest to my Fairy Grotto collection, especially with the illuminated manuscript influence, the decorative details, and the storytelling through botanical watercolour.

If you love mermaid art prints, fantasy botanical illustrations, or whimsical underwater scenes, I hope you find a piece here that pulls you in (just a little).

  • In Sirens Cove I painted four long journal dust pieces. These are thin watercolour art prints (just under A5 height), designed to fit beautifully into journals. They’re perfect for junk journaling, scrapbooking, or adding decorative botanical borders to your pages, like a mini illuminated manuscript.

  • Nope! and I’m also not showing the full piece online. I want to keep it a lil hidden for now. I’d love to one day exhibit my evolution paintings or include them in a larger project like a Bellis Codex.

  • This collection includes three A5 mermaid paintings with sailor knot details, three pocket prints (including one Fairy Club exclusive), and four long journal dust pieces. Each piece is part of the same underwater, siren inspired world.

  • My favourite is the Freshwater Sirens A5 painting. I used my partner and I as the reference, which makes it feel really personal and romantic.
